ABSTRACT
Summary: Russian aggression against Ukraine has gone through various phases since 2014. However, in both the hybrid conflict and kinetic conflict phases, an important element of the Russian Federation's actions has been information warfare conducted against both the Ukrainian population and residents of third countries not directly involved in the conflict. These operations use both new technologies, such as artificial intelligence and deepfake, social networks, but also more traditional attacks using various types of hacking tools designed to gain access to networks and individual computers Purpose and research methods: Analysis of available information and publications on the use of cyberspace as an element of information warfare during the conflict in Ukraine. Conclusions / recommendations: Cyberspace is an important element of Russian disinformation activities that go beyond the sphere of kinetic conflict and are not limited only to the territory of Ukraine and its inhabitants, becoming an element of the so-called hybrid war or irregular activities.
